CURRENT TROPICAL CYCLONES:

Post-Tropical Cyclone Beryl…according to the NHC advisory number 49 is located about 460 miles west-southwest of Montreal, Quebec, Canada

RISK OF FLASH FLOODING AND A FEW TORNADOES FOR PORTIONS OF THE NORTHERN MID-ATLANTIC AND NEW ENGLAND STATES INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS

The post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the east-northeast near 18 mph (30 km/h) and this motion is expected to continue into early Thursday morning.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.
Little change in strength is forecast during the next 24 hours.

HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND

RAINFALL: Heavy rainfall of 2 to 4 inches, with locally higher amounts, is expected across portions of the eastern Great Lakes through northern New England through tonight.

TORNADOES: A few tornadoes are possible through the night across upstate New York, northern Pennsylvania, into parts of New England.

A broad trough of low pressure located a few hundred miles off the southeastern U.S. coast continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms.

Environmental conditions appear marginally favorable for some additional development of this system over the next couple of days before it moves inland over the southeastern U.S. by this weekend.
