The Pacific Disaster Center’s (PDC Global) Tuesday, July 2, 2024, Tropical Cyclone Activity Report…for the Pacific Ocean, the Indian Ocean, and adjacent Seas

Current Tropical Cyclones:

There are no tropical cyclones

 

Northeast Pacific Ocean:

>>> Offshore of Southern Mexico:

A large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms located a few hundred miles offshore of the coast of southern Mexico is associated with a broad area of low pressure.

Environmental conditions could support some gradual development of this system, and a tropical depression could form during the next couple of days while it moves northward to northwestward at 10 to 15 mph, remaining offshore of the southwestern coast of Mexico.

* Formation chance through 48 hours…medium…50 percent
* Formation chance through 7 days…medium…50 percent

Central North Pacific:

No tropical cyclones are expected during the next 7 days.

Western Pacific, Indian Ocean and adjacent Seas

There are no areas of disturbed weather under investigation by the Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC)
